I just published another video on the Voice Actors at Home PH YouTube channel. And this time, I give my suggestions on voice acting workshops to join, at least if you’re in the Philippines. If you want, you can also find the same video on our “Luis Explains Stuff” playlist. Anyway, I shared both free options (which are pretty much VO workouts), and paid.
Topping the list, of course, are the VocAlliance Foundational Acting Course, and VAH PH Coaching, ‘coz… well, I can’t help but be biased here. I also recommend Sightlines Actors’ Space ‘coz I’m a fan of Meisner. And there’s also Competitive Edge Accent Training for those who want to break into the US and International markets.
A suggestion that some might find surprising is Hit Productions‘ ADR Scriptwriting Workshop, but I believe there are good reasons to include a writing workshop in this list.
Also on my list of recommendations are Third World Improv, Sightlines Actors’ Space, Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA), and Galleon Theatre.MNL.
Yeah, this pretty much covers all my suggestions, but my point really, is pretty simple. If you wanna get better at voice acting, you gotta focus on the acting part of it. And to get better, you want feedback, so that you #NeverStopLearning.
