We’ve all probably been told to watch less TV, right? Well, if you’re a voice actor, you might have good reason to watch more.

Be Kind
I wrote the bulk of this piece way back in 2021, a few months after COVID started exploding, and spent a few weeks tweaking things here and there, but I never really felt like it was quite finished. Then around a year ago, it popped back into my head; I made a few more tweaks, then just decided to record it. I don’t quite know why it took me this long to actually publish it, but finally, here it is.

This post, like the last one, is a few days late, but again, better late than never, right? Anyway, this time… well…. I think the title pretty much covers it. I’m owning to up to an inaccuracy in my previous video, recommending some other content, and soliciting suggestions.
Again, for those who are more inclined to read rather than watch, here’s a transcript:

I’ve neglected this site for too long, but thankfully, I’ve got some new content I can share here. I posted this on YouTube a few days ago, and while it would’ve been better if I shared it here before, it’s better late than never, right?
The long and short of it is that I’m gonna try to produce more content. Specifically, content that you can watch (or listen) to. That said, I really prefer reading stuff, so I’ve included a transcript below if you’re similarly inclined:

So before you go out and buy a new microphone, take a moment and think about how good your current recording space is. Maybe you can invest more into that first.
It’s Over. But It’s Not.
A few weeks ago, I briefly discussed the first day of the VocAlliance Intermediate Acting Course. Well, yesterday we had our culminating activity, and now it’s over…

No Studio, No Problem
Building a pillow fort is fun, but when you stand six feet tall and need a recording space, you need a (Pi shaped) mattress fort to get the job done.
Continue readingHello, World!
I’m Luis, and I’m a voice actor. I’m one half of LC VoiceOver – the other half being my wife, Claire – but I’m likely the only one you’ll hear from here. What, exactly, will be I be posting about? To be honest, I have no idea. The bulk of posts will probably be about voiceover, but I really can’t say for sure.
